We wrapped the canvas up in shiny gold paper and Richard brought it out as "the present he forgot about." ;) The family gathered around, they could tell something was up. Richard's sister and our sweet niece and nephew were watching from Texas via facetime on the iPad. This is how it went...
I felt as if I might pass out. My hands were shaking. So much emotion had been brewing secretly inside of me and now it was able to burst forth. There were lots of hugs, happy tears, clapping, and shock-and-awe!!! We handed out brochures with information about the who, when, where, how and whys. We also gave each member of the family a pewter charm. A tiny African animal, as a token to remember to pray for our one-day-child.
We are so very thankful for the love and support of family and friends. We know this will be a long and trying process, and that this is just barely the beginning. Please, continue to pray for our family, and thanks for taking the time to read our blog!
Wow! What a great way to include your family on your big news. So happy for you and to follow your journey!
